About the Trading Coach Directory
Hi, I'm Martin Gessner the creator of this site. Perhaps you are in a similiar situation to I was a couple of years ago. I was looking to get started in trading, but felt I needed more than just reading books. I thought I could learn trading best from a coach or mentor. Someone that was successful and from whom I could ask questions and get feedback on my trading performance. Thats when I started looking around for a trading coach or mentor. It was more difficult than I thought. It took some time to find a number of trading coaches that I thought could help me, and then more time to contact each one and decide which one to go with. This site was created to help you save some of the trouble I went through when I got started. It is a directory of trading coaches from around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the U.S, U.K and Europe. Take some time to look through the directory, read some of the interviews and don't forgeet to download the free 'How to Select a Trading Coach' guide. I wish that guide was available when I was trying to find a coach to help me. Good Luck, Martin
Why do I need a Trading Coach?
A trading coach can help those starting out in trading and need to learn the basics or those more experienced in the markets and need some advice on how to improve their trading plan and performance. Trading is like any other activity, access to an experienced coach or mentor will increase your learning, save you from costly mistakes and provide objective advice on how best to develop and improve your trading skills.
How does it work?
Coaching can be conducting in a group or privately. Group sessions can be conducted face to face or via the internet. For private sessions, options include face to face where the coach visits you, via phone calls, email or a combination.
How to select a Trading Coach?
Firstly, be clear about what you want to get out of coaching. Do you want help with technical analysis, planning entries and exits, systems development, money management or getting your emotions under control and increasing confidence?
Do some research. Visit the websites and read any books published by the coach to understand their trading philosophy and focus.
Send an email to the coach explaining your requirements and expectations to determine if there is likely to be a good match and if they answer questions to your satisfaction.
If you are an experienced trader, be able to show the history of your trades, to help the coach understand your current performance and areas of improvement.
